Commodity Watch: Copper futures decline on trimmed position

New Delhi: Copper futures fell 95 paise to Rs 1,327.50 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the February contract eased by 0.07 per cent in a business turnover of 8,637 lots. Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
Zinc futures ease on weaker demand
Zinc prices fell 35 paise to Rs 317.50 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for February delivery slipped 0.11 per cent in a turnover of 3,279 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low bets
Aluminium prices slipped by Rs 1.25 to Rs 319.05 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in February fell 0.06 per cent in 3,426 lots.
